About

I am a mum of three children aged 19, 22, and 23, I have worked all of my career with children between the ages of 12 months to 8 years, I am interested in why children do what they do and the psychology behind children’s behaviour, I currently work with key stage 1 children in a nurture unit trying to repair the unwitting harm done by parents.

  1. Nice to meet you, and thanks for following my blog!
Your chosen career path with children interests me – it must be both very challenging but very rewarding, and I applaud you for what you do.

    • Nice to meet and for you to follow my blog too. Yes my career is very rewarding, but it is also tragic, to think that a small thing such as smiling and talking to your baby can make it feel as though it belongs, the children I work with have obviously missed out on these things, so most of my time is spent undoing the wrongs in their short lives, I also find it very humbling when I get to cuddle a child and look into their eyes as a mother should.Thank you

  2. Yes. It’s terrible what can be done to damage the young child’s mental health – and then, of course, the effects go with them into adulthood. Thanks for following my blog.

  3. Hello…thanks for following. I’m not sure I understand what your career is. You don’t work for the school system…what is your title if you don’t mind me asking. Very interesting! ~Sherry~

    • Hi Sherry, I am a teaching assistant and have been for 12+ years, I work in a nurture unit within a Primary school, which means I get to work with children from the age of 4 to 11 with emotional, social and behavioural problems, hope this helps. C
